The film roller consists on adjustable nip rollers, transport rollers and magnetically coupled take-off roller. The nip rollers are hard chrome-plated and grinded to measure to avoid deformation of the surfaces and to reduce film sticking. The two rollers can be cooled with air or an appropriate cooling fluid. The speed 0 to 9 m/min can be infinitely adjusted. (Other speeds available upon request.) The desired film thickness can be set manually from 0 to 5 mm, the set dimension is read on the two dial indicators. All wetted surfaces are made of SS 1.4404, and hard chrome. The transport rollers are rubberized to minimize film slip and to compensate for any unevenness. The rubber coating has a 65° Shore hardness and is FDA compliant. The transport rollers ensure that the film is transported and is not stretched by the tensile forces during winding. The winding shaft rotates somewhat faster than the rollers. The increasing diameter of the sleeve on which the film is wound compensates for the magnetic slip-clutch coupling, so that the film is always held under a slight tension during winding. The tension or torque can be set on the magnetic slip-clutch coupling from 0.1 to1.5 Nm.
Spheronizer for granules or pellets. It requires an extruder and a granulator. The the size of the spheres are determined by the diameter of the extrudate and the length of the granules or pellets used for the spheronization process. For example a 0.5 mm in diameter extrudate can yiels 0.5 mm sphres when cut to ~0.5 mm. Different size plates are available and loads can be between 10 g or less upto 100 g
Dies and Nozzles are available to shape the extrudate output into:
